In case I haven’t mentioned it recently: I love my book club. It’s never the same experience twice although I always walk out feeling awesome. Hooting for “Bossypants”

The few shows I keep up with these days fall mostly in the category of drama (Mad Men, Once Upon a Time) which made reading “Bossypants,” Tina Fey’s autobiography, a truly refreshing ride. One thing I loved was that the funny starts from the very beginning of the book. The Flower in the Mud

Sometimes the things you need are nestled in the damndest places. Over the weekend, I found something like that in a book I was reading for book club. I have to admit, I read the first chapter of Ana Forrest’s “Fierce Medicine” shortly after it was chosen and was a little stunned. She’s very intense and her early experiences are hard to read. Over a year ago, I was extended an invitation by my yoga teacher and friend, Rebecca Pacheco, to join her latest adventure: the OmGal book club. I had never been in a book club but loved the idea of getting together once a month to discuss books dealing with spirituality, mind or body.
